Butternut Squash Soup: Another fresh and effective weight reducing and tummy filling soup recipe that can be taken with pita bread or even as an appetizer or snack. It makes 3 – 6 cups serving and takes 30 minutes for preparation.  Ingredients include:

1 large butternut squash

2 cups of broth (chicken preferred)

2 tbsp chopped parsley

¼ tsp white pepper and cinnamon powder

1 tbsp dried marjoram

1.5 cups skim milk

2 tbsp molasses

Nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.

Just cut the squash into sections and remove seeds and then peel it. Place in a glass dish and add ½ inch of water to it and cover it. Microwave it till the flesh is soft and mushy. Then take a big saucepan and put the soft squash, broth, parsley, pepper and marjoram and mix them well into a form of puree. Now add milk, molasses and remaining ingredients and bring it to a boil. After 1 boil simmer for some time on low heat and its ready to eat.
